Head of Legal (m/f/d)

The Head of Legal is responsible for overseeing all legal matters of Ruhr Oil and providing legal support across the organisation. The position serves as the primary interface to the Klesch Group legal departments, external lawyers, and other external service providers.

• Drafting, reviewing, adapting and negotiating national and international supply and service contracts, including general terms and conditions, leases, property and project contracts, as well as other legal documents in German and English
• Providing practical and solution-oriented legal advice to all departments and functions, particularly in the areas of sales, purchasing, finance and real estate
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external advisers to manage and support litigation and arbitration matters
• Preparing advisory memoranda, legal statements, decision papers, presentations and reports to support informed business decisions
• Working closely with and coordinating external legal advisers and other service providers supporting the legal function
• Supporting contract lifecycle management activities, including archiving, administration and deadline management
• Preparing and delivering internal training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities for Ruhr Oil employees on selected legal topics
• Handling a broad range of Ruhr Oil legal matters and acting as the key interface with legal teams across the Klesch Group and Ruhr Oil's external lawyers

• Qualified German lawyer with relevant experience in the oil, energy, industrial or comparable commercial sectors
• Strong communication and language skills, particularly in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
• The ability and willingness to quickly learn and adapt to new areas of law and business-related matters
• Ability to identify legal issues efficiently and provide pragmatic, commercially sound solutions
• Ability to explain complex legal matters in a clear and accessible way to colleagues without a legal background
• Excellent organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
